Visiting: The Regulator
For today's visiting feature, we go to The Regulator brought to us by J A Greer. The motto is an explanation of the title.
Peace.
Who were the frontier regulators? In Colonial South Carolina, the Regulator movement was an organized effort by backcountry settlers to restore law and order in the 1760's. In a digital world, this blog is attempting to bring some order to a little corner of the world. Come along for the ride...Recent essays which caught my eye include:
- Theological meaning behind of the phenomenon of Islam Mr Greer points to an essay by Pastor Leithart on this subject. The conclusion is abstracted by Mr Greer which points to how we Christians should confront Islam.
- The Sands of Time are Sinking A coming regular feature on this site every Sunday. He posts a hymn, discusses how it came to be written and its text.
- Madness! Sheer madness Mr Greer compares recent politics to the great old movie, The Bridge over the River Kwai.
Peace.
